I just got back from a few days in Portland, the highlight being the performance of Neurosis last night in the Roseland Theater. More photos coming over the next week.

Oregon Ducks Cheerleaders

For some reason, whenever I post photos of Oregon Ducks Cheerleaders my site traffic jumps. What’s up with that?

Today’s photo is from yesterday’s game at Autzen Stadium in Eugene.

Gum wall in Post Alley
Seattle, Washington

I spent the last weekend in Seattle and Portland (looking at potential colleges with Ryan). While I was taking photos of The Market Theater Gum Wall, a couple of Japanese females took turns taking photos of each other blowing bubbles in front of it. I snuck in this photo from a distance.

I didn’t take today’s photo in Japan. I took it more than two years ago in Ashland, Oregon. I went out for this bowl of ramen with this guy just a few weeks ago in Tokyo though.

Bald Eagle

Bald Eagle in Beatty, Oregon

I processed today’s photo in the Narita Airport. Tokyo is under a thick cloud cover, and the humidity is high (even in the airport). I can barely see the planes on the runway with all of the white outside. The forecast for Fukuoka tomorrow is no better.

This bald eagle (and its mate) had a nest at a friend’s ranch that we visited last weekend. Unfortunately, I only had my 24-120mm lens with me. I think I could have obtained some really cool images if I had my 70-300mm lens (or 70-200mm with 1.7X teleconverter).
