When you see a war memorial in Hawaii you may immediately think it has to do with WW2 and Pearl Harbor. This one was up before WW2 though. The Waikiki Natatorium War Memorial is a memorial for WW1. The deteriorating war memorial hasn’t been open since the 1960s (although it’s been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1980), but plans are underway to revitalize and use it again.
