This is an often neglected view in the Painted Hills landscape. While everyone can’t look away from the main attraction, a simple look over your shoulder reveals the above.
Sprutz Waterfall (“near” Gimmelwald, Switzerland)

Today’s photo comes from the aforementioned “easy” hike along the Gimmelwald-Spielbodenalp trail. If you do it, go in the opposite direction to avoid the steep uphill climb from Gimmelwald.

I’m not interested in most of the new additions, but I do welcome Amon Amarth, Heilung (whose early morning performance at last year’s Roskilde Festival I missed due to having to teach later that same morning), and Orange Goblin.
Prague Astronomical Clock
First installed in 1410, the clock has had features added over the centuries, and there was a time it wasn’t operating (1945 until 1948–thanks Nazis). The last renovation took place after I took this photo in 2017. The renovations on the Old Town Tower (and clock) were completed a few months ago. There is a chance I’ll get to see it again in summer of 2019.
Here’s a video of the super cool show that happened at the 600th anniversary in 2010. Don’t get bored by the first 10 or 20 seconds as it gets better and better…
