Today is an extra special Metal Monday. Why? Because Copenhell will announce the first group of bands who will be at 2018 Copenhell today. Tickets go on sale for the June 21-23, 2018 festival on November 9.

Gefle Metal Festival has announced a number of bands for 2018, as has the Roskilde Festival and the Metal Magic Festival. Copenhell has not. Rumors have it that they will on Halloween. Can’t wait…

I must admit, I was thinking about skipping the 2018 Roskilde Festival. However, if the first announced performers are an indication of the future then I will for sure be going. Three of the first ten are appealing to me: Myrkur, Watain, and Mogwai. If 30% of the remaining 165 are also artists I want to see, well, I’ll be very busy in early July.
