David Wright’s Grand Slam Saves Team USA in WBC

A win today (against Canada) for Team USA in the 2013 World Baseball Classic and they will move on to the next round in Miami. Today’s game may have been meaningless, and they would already be eliminated had they lost to Italy yesterday. However, David Wright hit a grand slam with the score tied, and Team USA held on for the 6-2 victory.

Today’s photo was taken at the Mets-Yankees game I went to at Citi Field in Queens, New York in June of 2012.

Columbia University – New York

A few hours before this sunset, Ryan and I were checking out the Columbia University campus in New York last summer. In between the two photos we were caught in a lighting storm. The skies actually opened up while we were on this campus, and we retreated to the library at the far end of today’s photo to avoid getting drenched.

The final touches on Death Angel’s next album are currently being made. The documentary, “A Thrashumentary” DVD will be released soon (with a photo or two of mine in it I think). All is well in the world.

Josh Reddick of the Oakland A’s

I watched Japan beat Brazil in Fukuoka this morning (on TV) in the WBC 2013. I would love to visit the Fukuoka Dome (福岡ドーム) for a game in June, but I think the Japanese All-Star Game will be happening then in Fukushima which isn’t anywhere near Fukuoka. Perhaps I’ll catch a game in Hiroshima on my way from Fukuoka to Osaka on June 21. The Tigers aren’t going to be in town.

Speaking of the 2013 World Baseball Classic, not a single A’s player was selected for the USA team. Hopefully my A’s will fly under the radar again, but win the American League West anyway like they did last year. If Josh Reddick hits 30+ homers again and bats higher than .250 I think the A’s will have a great chance.
