Cape Creek Bridge (Highway 101) and the Devil’s Elbow
We’ve driven the Oregon Coast Highway many times, but we’ve never stopped at Haceta Head Lighthouse before. Beautiful place.

I just returned from two days on the Oregon Coast. Today’s photo comes from our morning walk on Thanksgiving. Although the temperature was supposed to be in the 30s, my weather app indicated it felt like the teens with the wind chill factored in. I must agree with the weather app. By afternoon it was in the upper 40s though, and the wind died down.
The camera I use, with my favorite lens, has been reduced in price again. You can now pick up a Nikon D750 FX-format DSLR camera w/ 24-120mm f/4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor lens for $1003 less than it cost me when I purchased it when it first came out.

After a fabulous dinner of BBQ at Everett & Jones Barbeque, we headed over to the waterfront at Jack London Square to enjoy the sunset. I’m not sure if this is the Lady Washington (or maybe the Hawaiian Chieftain?), but some tall ship was forming the perfect foreground for the night’s sunset last Thursday.

Sunrise from I-5 north of Mt. Shasta
This past Thursday I headed down I-5 with a friend with the destination being the San Francisco Bay Area to see AC/DC at AT&T Park. Things began with the sunrise in today’s photo.
