Solstice season
Today’s photo was taken a few days before the summer solstice, after 10 p.m., on a night that never became dark*, in northwestern Iceland.
Today we are a few days before winter solstice, and I long for those long, warm days of summer.
* More than an hour later, on the same day, at 11:30 p.m., my world looked like this.
Skies of fires and spires
The night before heading to Brutal Assault was a magical one. I’m still hoping I can get my back fixed and make it to Prague and 2020 Brutal Assault.
Nyhavn twilight
Twilight came at about 11 p.m. as this was taken on the summer solstice, 2018. In a couple months, twilight will happen before 4 p.m. in Copenhagen. Having only spent summers in Copenhagen, I can’t quite imagine what that is like.
