You aren’t likely to find this part of Prague in any guide books, yet it was one of my favorites. The guy who lent me his place on Airbnb told me about it as a great place for night life. He wasn’t kidding. There were no other tourists that I could see along my Naplavka walk, a stark difference from the thousands milling around the Charles Bridge and Old Town.
What other places do you know in Prague that are really cool and virtually free of foreign tourists?
Tower of London actors in period costume
Throwing it back for this Thursday to that time I built a time machine and went back 600 years to the Tower of London.
Seriously, though, the actors are the best part of the Tower of London these days–very fun performances in excellent costumes.

A little over six months ago, this happened. Dave is taking a rare year off in 2017 from playing Labor Day Weekend at The Gorge.
Dark Funeral @ 2016 Copenhell

At last year’s Copenhell I had the choice of watching all of Dark Funeral’s set or getting a good spot for Black Sabbath. I chose the latter. The good news is I will get to see all of Dark Funeral’s set at Gefle Metal Festival 2017.
Even though many of London’s attractions are free, a visit to St. Paul’s Cathedral, just over the Millennium Bridge, will set you back £18. We didn’t have to decide whether we wanted to pay the fee as we arrived after 4 p.m., and they were closed for the day.
