A little something from the 2017 Britt season for you today…

Isiah Carter is mobbed in the end zone after picking up a fumble and returning it 43 yards for a touchdown in the 2017 NAIA football semifinals
@SOURaiders @SOU_Football @CarterTheGr8_
Although I’ve followed the NFL, at times very closely, over the past forty something years, I’ve yet to ever go to a game. Between high school and college I’ve been to well over a hundred football games. But today marks the first professional football game I will ever attend. How is that possible in June, when I’m not even in a place (Denmark) known for American football?
Today I’m going to see Isiah Carter, coach for the SOU Raiders and player before that, play for the Frederikssund Oaks of the Danish American Football Federation. Should be interesting…
@MedfordRogues @ColeCarder4
The Rogues are on fire this year, near the top of the Golden State Collegiate Baseball League standings with a 19-4 record in the league. Alas, their season will be over before I return to the Rogue Valley in August.
Carder was last year’s “Player of the Year”.
Not too far from Ashland, and not far from Crater Lake, you can find this spot which you will likely have to yourself.

This Thursday night will kick off the Britt Festival for 2019. A Beatles tribute band will get things going. Tickets are still available, and the weather forecast for the evening looks really good.
Something today from a couple weekends ago when we hung out at our friends’ ranch in Beatty, Oregon.
