A Farewell to FatherDoug
I’m not sure if I can make it, but this final show of FatherDoug is happening tomorrow night (6/13/14) in Medford starting at 8:30 p.m. The Imperial Event Center is a great place and is an “all ages” venue.

Ashland High School Girl’s Varsity Volleyball
High school finished things up yesterday which means “optional” volleyball practices begin in full force today for the high school teams for fall (when school starts again).

Pines, moon, and bald eagle (Beatty, Oregon)
It has been a year since I took today’s photo. I’m still mad at myself for not having a longer lens with me at the time. Here is a cropped version of the same photo so you can see a bit more bald eagle detail:

Prom Dress (Rugby)
Today’s photo is one of countless interesting scenes from this past weekend’s Rugby Prom in Raider Stadium.

Southern Oregon University Alumni Association Calendar
The first, annual SOU Alumni Association Calendar for 2014-15 (September 2014 – August 2015) was published last week. If you are already a member, expect it in your mailbox before September. If you aren’t already a member, become one today here. In addition to the calendar, there are lots of other great benefits and discounts for members. Some of them are here.
BTW, five of the months feature my photos of campus life.

Southern Oregon University professors
One week from today (6/14/14) will feature a scene similar to today’s photo (from last year’s graduation). Commencement will take place at Raider Stadium.
Immediately after the ceremony, the field will be torn up and replaced with a new football field and track facility. Next year I’ll finally be able to shoot SOU track. Southern Oregon University hasn’t had a home track and field event in many years.

OSU baseball – Michael Conforto
@mconforto8 Congratulations to Michael Conforto for his high draft pick today! A pick this high should net him about $3 million if he gives up his senior season at OSU.
I took today’s photo last season. Conforto had just broken a 0-0 tie against the Ducks with a home run. He had 31 such dingers during his three years with the Beavers. More impressive perhaps was his consistently high batting average and on base percentage. In over 175 games he maintained a .341 batting average and .463 on base percentage.
