I’m in Korea for 4th of July celebrations (or lack thereof) this year. (At least I hope I am. I’m actually pre-blogging this week on Memorial Day back in late May.) So I have put together a week of photos from last year’s 4th of July festivities in Ashland. We’ll start things off with a pic of Tyler Hawkins riding a funky bike in the Ashland 4th of July Parade.

Tyler Loney of Spellcaster

On July 2, Spellcaster will be playing at Musichead in Medford. Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I will be about 6,000 miles away in South Korea. Today’s photo is from the last time I saw them. Tyler Loney played guitar at the time. Now he does the lead vocals.

Also performing at this show will be the debut of Sylent Storm.

Nikkor 18-200mm G VRII Lens for Nikon cameras

I haven’t used this lens in over a year. In fact, I no longer have a DX camera or this lens, but I used it quite a bit when I was learning how to shoot with my first DSLR camera.

This was one of my first test shots with my Sigma 85mm f/1.4 lens, a lens that I still use regularly.

Prom Dress Rugby at Southern Oregon University

Saturday (6/1/13) at 1 p.m. at Raider Stadium will feature the second annual Prom Dress Rugby match. It’s only $5 (and I think that includes a BBQ lunch) so head on down.

A little more than six months ago Wild Hunt played in Medford. I have listened to their CD, “Before The Plane Of Angles,” many times since then and have come to really love their sound. In ten days they will be playing at Club 66 in Ashland. Can’t wait!
