I’m hoping to hear good news from the Roskilde Festival (2018 edition) this week. I’m already confirmed for 2018 Metal Magic and 2018 Copenhell.
Today’s photo is of Skatteministeriet from Christiansborg Slot. Skatteministeriet is a government building in Copenhagen. More specifically, it’s the home of the Danish Ministry of Taxation.
Tax day is usually April 15 in the USA, but this year, because April 15 was a Sunday, the deadline is extended until today. I did more tax returns this year than I’ve done any year since the 1990s. What’s wrong with me?
Back to today’s photo… Getting to the top of the tower in Christiansborg is easy (mostly elevator) and free! It may be the best free view in Copenhagen.

The last acts have been added and now the schedule for Roskilde Festival is complete. My tentative plan is as follows:
July 1:
Slaegt
July 4:
Clutch
Nine Inch Nails
Dark Tranquility
July 5:
Boris & Merzbow
Chelsea Wolfe
Heilung
July 6:
Celeste
David Byrne
Myrkur
Watain
July 7:
Mogwai
Myrkur
I’m open minded to checking out acts I’ve never heard of. Who should I see that isn’t on the above list and why? I’m working in Copenhagen until 4 p.m. on July 4 and 6 so any bands going on before 6 p.m. on those days I will miss.

Tomorrow the full list of acts for the 2018 Roskilde Festival will be announced. Hopefully, some more bands that I want to see will be added. So far the lineup is exceedingly light on heavy bands. Myrkur is doing two sets–a lighter and a heavier one. Oddly, neither set will be on the same day as Chelsea Wolfe. Once again, there isn’t really a day I can miss, but as of right now, there isn’t a single day in which I want to see more than two bands.
