Copenhagen, Denmark @ 4:15 a.m. on the summer solstice (2011)
This photo may not look too horrible on a cell phone, but it took a lot of work to make it somewhat presentable, and it still has so many imperfections all due to the photographer not knowing what he was doing.
f/2.8, 1/2000, ISO-6400 — yikes!
This could have been so much better at something like f/5.6, 1/80, ISO-200, and shot in RAW.

Saint Mary Lake (Glacier National Park)

Located on the opposite side of the Continental Divide as Lake McDonald, you don’t have to look into the distance to see the Rocky Mountains when gazing at Saint Mary Lake. We saw a moose and a grizzly bear in the lake.

Today’s photo comes from almost 10 years ago when I was just learning photography. I need to go back to Copenhagen to revisit some of the places I haven’t been in a while now that I have a better idea what I’m doing. Yet another reason for 2021 to be a “normal” year.

Seaside Beach Volleyball Tournament
The World’s Largest Amateur Beach Volleyball tournament didn’t happen this year, but five years ago we were in on the thirtieth-something annual version of it.

Lake Tahoe near Incline Village on the Nevada side
