Today’s sequence comes from this past Saturday, when I was on the sidelines for the Beavers vs. Bears game in Reser Stadium on the campus of Oregon State University. Vic Wharton III caught this pass for a near touchdown. Cal won by a score of 49-7.

It’s not easy shooting a band who plays in the pitch blackness, with nothing but head lamps for lighting. Today’s photo was nearly an instant delete (as it was just a small red light as a jpg). However, when I pulled up the RAW file and lightened it a bit this pattern over the image appeared. Anyone know the source of this design? Given that it isn’t coming from the light, is it from my camera’s sensor, the lens, or just a ghost?

Satyricon will be at 2019 Gefle Metal Festival

I’m not 100% committed to the 2019 Gefle Metal Festival yet. Although it doesn’t conflict with Metal Magic, like it did last year, many of the acts will also be at Copenhell (so far Dimmu Borgir and Eluveitie) and maybe Roskilde. However, today’s announcement of Satyricon’s appearance may assist in getting me there. Satyricon, even on the smallest stage, was one of my favorite performances at 2018 Copenhell.
