Turns out, there are a few trees in Iceland.

Today’s photo hurts me a bit. While the scene was beautiful, and I love to hike, my back was killing me when I took this, so I could only go for a couple hundred yards before heading back to my rental van for some back rest. I would have loved to have hiked more on this trip.

Russian kid in St. Petersburg, Russia (July 2019)

Russian men are required to enter mandatory military service when they turn 18 years old, meaning this kid is probably either about to conscripted, already was conscripted, or has already become a casualty (along with over a million others) in Putin’s senseless war.
