Gwangju night view

I haven’t noticed this in any other country I have visited, but in Korea, when the sun goes down and the lights come on, you can’t find a view that doesn’t include at least one lit up cross. Sometimes you can see several. Usually they are red, but sometimes they are white or blue.

I spent last weekend in Busan on the southeast coast of South Korea. The sun never came out, and the sky was never blue during the day. However, the “blue hour” still happens even with an overcast sky.
I didn’t have a tripod and there was nothing really easy to set my camera on for a long exposure so I climbed a lifeguard tower and set my camera on the floor of the lifeguard station in order to take the photos that were photomerged together into today’s final pic.

On the far left of today’s photo (2nd Floor) is the aforementioned German Bar.
Night on the Naka River
I wanted to experience ramen at Fukuoka’s Yatai (屋台). However, it was raining so the Yatai didn’t set up their shops. I settled for some between-the-rain-drops photos instead. The interesting clouds (and rain) from today’s photo (and this prior one) is due to the influence of a typhoon or taifu (台風) that was lurking just below Japan.
