Today we fly home to Ashland after 10 days on Oahu. Going from the 70s (and sometimes 80s–never less than upper 60s) to Ashland’s 30s is going to be … cold. Time to start looking forward to February’s false spring.

I’ve never been to the real 平等院 near Kyoto (although I’ve had the postcard photo of the famous temple since 1988) so catching the 50-year old replica in Hawaii a couple days ago was pretty cool.
