The camera I use, with my favorite lens, has been reduced in price again. You can now pick up a Nikon D750 FX-format DSLR camera w/ 24-120mm f/4G ED VR AF-S Nikkor lens for $1003 less than it cost me when I purchased it when it first came out.

After a fabulous dinner of BBQ at Everett & Jones Barbeque, we headed over to the waterfront at Jack London Square to enjoy the sunset. I’m not sure if this is the Lady Washington (or maybe the Hawaiian Chieftain?), but some tall ship was forming the perfect foreground for the night’s sunset last Thursday.

Jake Arrieta had a pretty good season last year (2014) except on the day I took this photo. On that day he gave up nine runs in just five innings. Coors Field can do that to any pitcher.
Since then he has been the best pitcher in MLB. This season he has 21 wins and an ERA below 2. He is the main reason the Cubs are going to the postseason in 2015. No other pitcher on the Cubs has more than 10 wins.
