I’m not in San Francisco for Christmas. Today’s photo is from just after Thanksgiving. It was over 70 degrees when I took this picture of outdoor ice skating.

We went to San Francisco for Thanksgiving, but the Hyatt Regency had their Christmas decorations up already. One was this Snow Village display. The theme for this year’s display is “Small Town USA” and can be seen until the end of the year in the Guinness Book of World Records’ “Largest Atrium Lobby.”
In Flames

It took more than four years since my last attempt to see In Flames to actually see them this time. Instead of standing behind thousands in their hometown of Gothenburg, I was able to stand in front of a couple thousand people to see them on the other side of the globe in Medford, Oregon. They were well worth the wait.
