I never once looked out the window during my red-eye flight from San Francisco to Houston a couple nights ago. But after a nap in the Houston airport, I did take a few peeks at the peaks on my way to Guanajuato. Today’s photo captures that scene.

I’m back in Guanajuato, Mexico for the first time in over five years. I won’t be here long enough to see the Day of the Dead festival, but Festival Internacional Cervantino (FIC) is raging right now. FIC has grown to become the most important international artistic and cultural event in Mexico and Latin America.

The last time I saw Judas Priest was in 2009. That was K.K. Downing’s last show with Priest at Loud Park Japan. Sadly, with Glenn Tipton’s health issues, that leaves zero real Judas Priest guitarists in the band.
