Today’s photo comes from moments before Oranssi Pazuzu hit the Gloria Stage at the 2017 Roskilde Festival. Oranssi Pazuzu will be touring the USA soon. Unfortunately, I will be in Mexico when they come through the west coast, but this is something you don’t want to miss if you are in the area.
Tickets for the 25th annual Brutal Assault Festival have just gone on sale. The early bird price is just 98 Euros. This festival is an incredible experience and value. 98 Euros will get you four days of music (or more if you do the pre and/or post parties) from 10 a.m. until 4 a.m. Needless to say, the festival will, again, sell out so don’t wait to purchase. Also, the price will go up at some point. The ticket prices aren’t the only value. Everything else is reasonably priced too. Compared to other festivals beer/cocktails are about 1/5th the price, t-shirts are about half price, and food is inexpensive as well. The setting at Fortress Josefov can’t be beat.
Go early or stay late and spend a few nights or a few weeks in Prague before and/or after. The Czech capital turns into a Metalhead Mecca before and after the festival. I was amazed how many complete strangers I met and became BFFs with. People from Netherlands, Egypt, Israel, Denmark, Finland, France, Australia, etc. Even though I purchased a round trip train ticket to the festival from Prague, I was offered rides–both ways–and didn’t end up using my train ticket.
