Silicon Graphics Computer Systems and Rickey Henderson
Saw this clip a while ago and figured I should do a screenshot of it and not just because Rickey Henderson was my favorite baseball player ever. I worked at Silicon Graphics (when they were better known as SGI) in the late 1990s. The video was probably from the early ’90s, as the SGI logo changed in the meantime.

1975 Topps Baseball Cards sorted by color
My team didn’t make it. Nor did I really even follow major league baseball this year. I watched two A’s games during the entire season–one on TV and one in person. They won both in dramatic fashion. I went to one other game (in Minnesota) to watch the Giants lose so basically I went 3-0 this year.
The above photo is not mine. I saw it on Twitter a while back and thought it was lovely. The ’75 set is my favorite.

Pagán came in with two outs and runners on first and second. He proceeded to walk the next two batters, meaning he walked in a run before ending the inning. A Twins fan near me was on him before he threw a single pitch. Sadly, the fan was correct.

The Twins swept the Giants this past weekend in Minneapolis. This was not my seat for most of the game, but it was a good seat for looking out over Minneapolis–both ways.
