Las Vegas Strip
…fantasy and science fiction will collide in a made-for-reality-TV special guaranteed to last for four years. I believe Roger Waters made an album back in the early 90s about this scenario called “Amused to Death” but no one was paying attention it seems.
Very close to Osaka Castle is where I found the ramen shop featured in today’s photo. All of the employees, and most of the customers, were female–odd for a ramen restaurant in Japan.

On our recent trip to the Grand Canyon and Sedona from (and to) Vegas we made stops at the Hoover Dam each way. I’ve been to Vegas several times but these were my first trips to Hoover Dam.

Today we depart Sedona and head back to Las Vegas.

Today’s photo features the view from our room when we pulled in to Sedona on New Year’s Eve yesterday. Today’s hikes were amazing.
Grand Canyon (South Rim, Arizona)
Our trip to the Grand Canyon was fantastic. We got there just in time for a sunset before a snow storm hit. We spent the night at Yavapai Lodge and woke up to several inches of snow. Hence, there wasn’t a sunrise, but the Bright Angel Trail was awesome in the snow.
