A few people that knew I went to Calgary told me they found Calgary to be ugly. I asked them if they’d seen it from Crescent Road or the connected parks (McHugh Bluff and Rosedale Park). The answer was “no” which explains why they never saw this view. We randomly ended up on Crescent Road on a bike ride or we would have missed it too.

I pretty much lived at this place in the 1980s. Now it is gone. This was the last game I ever saw there.
This year I have paid zero attention to MLB. I couldn’t tell you who is in the playoffs or what round we are in. It’s kind of odd how something that was such a big part of your life can later become so dead to you.

Today’s photo comes from the Bugle Tower of St. Mary’s Basilica in Krakow, Poland. The tower is currently closed for renovations, but it was open during Covid when I took this in 2021. The object in this photo is a fountain in Krakow’s main square that was built in 2010. If you look very closely you can see that it was operating. The water doesn’t run down the glass pyramid in the center. Sometimes the pyramid is completely covered in pigeons. The glass pyramid is the roof of a museum called the Rynek Underground. I didn’t visit the museum, but I don’t remember why I didn’t. Perhaps it wasn’t open because of Covid when I was in Krakow.
