We took a walk on Mt. Ashland last weekend, hoping to see some wildflowers, but they haven’t begun yet. I brought the long lens for once.

Ashland, Oregon – December 2024

Today’s photo comes from a short hike we did a bit over a week ago on the west side of Lithia Park. We were on the TID (AKA “ditch trail”) between the Granite Street Trail and Hearts Nature Trail. (More on hiking in this area can be found here.) The scene looked as if someone threw lit candles dripping with hot wax at this tree.
