I went to my first, ever professional soccer game in the USA today. The Portland Thorns FC of the NWSL trounced the Orlando Pride 6-0. Hina Sugita scored the first goal of the game at the 21-minute mark.

To take my mind off of missing out on the 2022 edition of Copenhell, I took a road trip down to Redding, California to see Primus. 70 degrees in Ashland, 100 degrees in Redding. Ouch! Fortunately, the auditorium had AC so it was a pleasant atmosphere. This was the most enjoyable Primus show I have ever been to. The second set was Rush’s “A Farewell to Kings” in its entirety. My friend, who drove up from the Bay Area to join me, saw Rush on that tour. It was his first concert, ever, way back in 1978. A very special evening. I made it back to Ashland before the clock struck 2 a.m.
