Today’s photo was taken from a flight between Billund, Denmark and Amsterdam. What I wanted to capture moved out of the frame just before this photo was taken. Next to the track, just below the bottom of this photo, is not one but two baseball diamonds. While soccer fields are everywhere in Europe, I was surprised to see facilities for baseball.

Rynek Underground
Today’s photo comes from the Bugle Tower of St. Mary’s Basilica in Krakow, Poland. The tower is currently closed for renovations, but it was open during Covid when I took this in 2021. The object in this photo is a fountain in Krakow’s main square that was built in 2010. If you look very closely you can see that it was operating. The water doesn’t run down the glass pyramid in the center. Sometimes the pyramid is completely covered in pigeons. The glass pyramid is the roof of a museum called the Rynek Underground. I didn’t visit the museum, but I don’t remember why I didn’t. Perhaps it wasn’t open because of Covid when I was in Krakow.
