In a year of few amazing moments, this photo reminds me of one of my most amazing moments of last year.
I arrived at this spot after an exhilarating drive on a very warm day for Iceland. There was only one other person taking in this view with me. This photo was taken after 10 p.m., and the sun had yet to set. Turning around was this view of the Arnarfjörður fjord.
GoDaddy seriously screwed me over. I should have switched away years ago. I thought it would be too much of a hassle. Turns out it was more of a hassle when everything broke. View from Alder Springs Trail near Bend, Oregon
I thought this stream was called Alder Springs Creek, given the name of the trail, but I think it’s actually called Whychus Creek. This is a very nice hike, especially on a day less than 95 degrees (which was the temperature on the day we did it), but it’s a pain to get to as the road is not good, and Google maps will lead you astray.
