Henrik Rasmussen, Michael Østerfelt, and Jonas Roxx Mørup of Alien Force @ Copenhagen’s High Voltage (July 2, 2021)

I love these guys. Their new album, We Meet Again, is amazing. I have the lyrics (that the band gave me after their set at Metal Magic Festival) to the songs off the new album hanging in my office alongside the setlists from their High Voltage and Metal Magic performances.

It’s not every day that a band waits 35 years between studio albums. Are there any bands with a bigger gap between records?

If you haven’t heard of Alien Force before, but you enjoy NWOBHM bands like Riot, Judas Priest, and/or Saxon then give them a listen.

Roman Kostrzewski in Poznan, Poland (July 2021)

Last summer I had no idea that Roman Kostrzewski was dying when I saw him perform twice in Poland. Maybe I was the only one in the crowd in that position, given that I was also the only one who couldn’t speak Polish. Anyway, his death yesterday caught me by surprise. I’ve been listening to the setlist from last summer’s shows ever since.
