6-photo photomerge of the Ed Moshofsky Sports Center before day two of the 2016 Oregon Matt Hartner Memorial Classic (January, Eugene)

We just got back from three days of volleyball. The Rogue Valley Volleyball Club 18U team came in 38th place out of 108 teams. They finished with a 6-2 record, losing both of their games in three sets. In other words, they beat everyone they faced at least once. Given the original rankings, Rogue Valley couldn’t have finished higher than 29th place, even if they won all their games, so I guess you could say they came in 9th place.

@ButteCreekMill

Back in 2011 I posted some photos of our visit to Butte Creek Mill. A few days ago, an early morning fire wiped out the place. Today I’m posting a few more images (two of the interior and one of the exterior) from 2011. The fire photo is from the internet.

The first mill was constructed here in 1872. Some things from the original mill still survived until Christmas of 2015. Additions and changes to the building took place between 1912 and the 1930s. The mill had been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1976. It’s all gone now. The current plan is to rebuild.
