No Iceland for me this summer. I’m hoping to book my flights to Denmark in the next month. Side trips will likely include Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic (again), and either Germany or the Netherlands.

BTW, I had this spot, on the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, all to myself for the half hour or so I was there. If this waterfall was anywhere else in the world I’m guessing there would have been at least a hundred people there. The crowd, or lack thereof, makes a huge difference in the experience.

One of my favorite concert souvenirs is a $100 Alice Cooper bill hanging on the wall of my office. Alice flung these off of a foil while performing “Billion Dollar Babies” and one landed in my pocket. Some others remained on the catwalk stage as you can see in this photo.
