For the past 34 years there has been an annual fireworks festival near Inuyama Castle (犬山城) in which fireworks are launched from the Kiso River. I had my first chance to witness this event last month. I didn’t have the best spot for capturing photos of the fireworks with the castle in the background, but considering I didn’t sit down until about 10 minutes before the fireworks began, my spot wasn’t that bad.
Korean temples tend to be out of the way (compared to Japan anyway). Beomeosa feels a world away once you enter the grounds, but the Beomeosa subway stop in Busan is just a short walk and then short bus ride away.

Fourteen photos were photomerged together to come up with this more than 180 degree view from the Togetsu Bridge (渡月橋)

While standing at the feet of Eric Bloom and Buck Dharma last night I recalled seeing Godzilla just last month. Sure enough, a quick look through some of my photos from my visit to Shosenkyo and I found today’s image. By the way, Tokyo is a two-syllable word (some would say four, but it certainly isn’t three).
