Cathedral Rock is likely the most recognizable of Sedona’s many red, sandstone formations. My favorite thing about this image is the memory of my condition at the time I took it. We were on our way down after reaching the end of the trail. I had a really bad headache until we began our descent. I took this when my head was experiencing a bit of a post-headache euphoria.
Today’s photo is of a non-famous angle of famous Kakuenbo in Shosenkyo. The famous vantage point is this one.
My random, desktop image of the day is from a few summers ago. We were on our way to Hawaii. To anyone under the clouds, it was merely another overcast day. From above, though, it was lovely.
Just over a year ago this happened. Sadly, I don’t think I will ever have a reason to head to this part of Washington again. I would like to see Palouse Falls (especially with a sky like this) someday though.

Today is the day. Black Sabbath is calling it quits. After 48 years and thousands of shows, tonight, in Birmingham, England–where it all began–is where it will all end. I was fortunate to have seen Ozzy solo twice (once in the 80s and once in the 90s), Dio solo in the 1980s, and Black Sabbath three times (90s, 00s, and on The End Tour last summer in Denmark).
