I woke up happy this morning. Actually, I probably wasn’t happy when I woke up, but I became happy soon thereafter when I saw that Neurosis has been added to the bill for the 2017 Roskilde Festival. Also added was Red Fang. I’m a big Red Fang fan; yet I’ve never seen them live. Even though they are from Oregon, Red Fang never plays in Southern Oregon so my first time seeing them will be in Denmark next year. Can’t wait.

When I was about 11 years old I bought my first stereo with money saved from my paper route. Problem was, I didn’t have enough money left over to purchase records. However, you could check out “old” records at the library. So I headed down to the Manor Branch Library and checked out Wings’ “Band on the Run” for a couple weeks.
I didn’t imagine that I would be able to see an old band like Wings 35+ years later.

Today is the 2016 Civil War game in Corvallis. We’ll be watching on TV from Ashland. With a Duck and a Beaver in the family, the game will finally become interesting for us. Even though the ramifications aren’t as large as the game in Washington, yesterday, this may actually be a decent game for once as OSU and UofO have identical conference records for the first time in ages.
I’ve actually never been in Reser Stadium, a fact I need to get corrected next season. Today’s photo is from my daughter’s dorm.
