Blue Hour BBC
A few nights ago we were heading back to our AirBNB place (near the BT Tower) from Soho in London. We decided to go into the BBC. We were the only ones there and were able to watch a live newscast. There was also a great overview of the working area of the BBC employees. Really cool. And free!
An odd thing about London is everything is either free or really expensive. Museums, views, tours, etc. either cost you nothing or 20+ pounds. I can’t think of a single thing that was in the 1-10£ range (like most of the rest of the world).
Ninnaji panorama
After 45 days in Denmark, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and London, today I’m heading back to the USA. That means loads of waiting in airports and the ability to finally get around to processing photos like this one from three years ago in Kyoto.
Parading down The Mall
A couple days ago we headed out early to catch the “Changing of the Guard” at Buckingham Palace. Turns out we weren’t nearly early enough for much of a view of anything. However, as things were breaking up at noon we happened to be crossing the street toward St. James’s Park when today’s scene unfolded before us.
