With a 1.6 rating on TripAdvisor, I’m guessing this could be the lowest rating for anything on the planet. We didn’t stay there.

The ” ELCOME B C RM NEP ERSCN” sign makes you think the place is so well maintained though…

Vltava River in Český Krumlov (Czech Republic – August 2021)

That’s the same river as the one in Prague. That’s not the same St. Vitus though.

Ingjaldshólskirkja above the Nootka lupine (June 2019)

Built in 1903, this may be the oldest concrete church in the world. In June, it has the prettiest road to a church in the world IMO.

Hollywood Hills from Runyon Canyon Trail (August 2023)

The place in the upper left can be yours for about $13M or just $60k a month to rent. Apparently it was also the location for the first season of “American Horror Story: Murder House” (which I haven’t seen).

Winter Palace interior (Saint Petersburg, Russia – July 2019)

We seem to watch films by recently deceased actors these days. Diane Keaton died almost a couple of weeks ago, and we’ve watched three films she is in since. Reds (1981) was the most recent one. I was surprised to see scenes apparently shot in the Winter Palace (which is now the Hermitage Museum) in the film. Alas, they were not actually filmed there. Instead the Lancaster House in London was used for the interiors, and those scenes looked very legit in Reds.
