The Blues Brothers got their start on SNL on January 17, 1976. Nearly 50 years later, I took the above photo of their statues enjoying the sunset on someone’s deck on Whidbey Island.

This was supposed to be a 5.8 mile out-and-back trail, but the evidence of bears in the area became so obvious that we turned around near this point, less than a mile from the trailhead. Instead, we watched the water life in the nearby bay.
