I didn’t do the tour when I visited this place so I didn’t know until today that this was the last residence of Archduke Franz Ferdinan, one of the more famous humans to have ever roamed the planet.

Portage Lake, Alaska (August 2023)

Kraków Barbican (June 2021)

It’s not every day that you run into perfectly preserved buildings from the 15th Century. I don’t know if the barbican normally looks like this as it is now a tourist attraction, but during Covid, everything was closed so tourists weren’t crawling all over this gem.

Elsinor Theatre (Salem, Oregon) – February 1, 2024

The Elsinore Theatre (borrowing things from Kronborg Castle in Denmark) is a lovely venue for concerts. Unfortunately, it’s a 4-hour drive from my home or I’d be there frequently.
